A/n: it's been 3 hours since I wrote the last one but shhhh. Inspired by @desitonystark

"Pepper yaar pick up sometimes!" Toni whined as she tossed random pieces of clothing into her suitcase, brushing off the seemingly helpful gestures of the maid. Toni calmed down and gave her a polite smile before stepping away from the closet. She held the phone away as she stage whispered something about 'hot tropical weather' and 'three days max'.

Pepper finally picked up, the noise of a shower in the back.

"Kya hai?"

"I got a rishta!"

"What." Tonu could practically hear her assistant's eyes rolling to the back of her head. She sat on the floor, watching the maid pack.

"Arey, before we moved south Delhi, I used go have this neighbour, kinda cute. Fir we lost touch. Now he's sending marriage proposals to mummy!"

"Oho. And?"

"And mummy is flat over him! Pep, am I not allowed a love story? I thought I'd have so much fun, sneaking around mummy's back; we'd give each other missed calls...the whole circus. Instead this idiot wants me as his wife already?"

"If you have so much problem reject him outright na!"

"I-he's not a bad guy. And Rhodey found his insta; he's kinda cute. And, there is a real lack of good guys, you know." Toni only heard a sigh on the other end, and the sound of the water suddenly cutting off.

"What do you want to do, then?"

"He tried to make my love story arranged; I'll turn this arrangement into love."

"Just...don't pull any stunt, okay?"

Toni gave a non committal hum and sat up.

"You still slurp chai." Toni muttered as Steve set down his mug. Bucky, who'd swiftly taken over the kitchen, had sent out chai and a mysterious assortment of semi edible stuff that he classified as namkeen. He and Sam had then proceeded to giggle at the two from the kitchen window.

"Yeah, uh, it's hot."

"Hmm." She still stirred her tea.

"I, uh..."

"Have never done this before? Koi na, you've shown you're pretty ballsy." The sickly sweet smile was back for a millisecond.

"Yeah, sorry about that."

"A rishta? Steve, you could've texted me! Dropped in!" She paused, as if to reflect on the non viability of the statement. "Why do you want to marry me?"

"Well I've been thinking of settling down, and yours was the first name I could think of..."

"How was it?" Pepper had stood outside the door the entire time, only once interrupted by Bucky to hand her a mug and ask her to sit down. At Toni's return, she straightened up.

"Look for a hotel or something. And tell ma I need a few days. And uh, free up my week." Toni rolled her eyes. "Looks like I'm getting hitched."

Bucky generally revelled in being right, usually overloading it over people with a smug smirk that he could never shake off his face

Now however - looking as another frown added itself to Sam’s already wrinkled face because Steve had made them stop yet again so he could take “a very important call James - can you just pull over please” - now he wasn’t really happy to be right

He’d only been half joking when he’d said that Steve was going to be a workaholic during the trip, but a drive that was supposed to only be half an hour’s turned into a 3 hour affair - and Sam really shouldn’t be this stressed out during his bachelor trip

So when Sam says, “I wish someone would just throw your phone out the window,” Bucky doesn’t think - he grabs Steve’s phone mid conversation and lobs it out of the window

There’s terse silence in the car, for all of 10 seconds before Sam pulls over and Steve starts yelling

“What the fuck? What the FUCK? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!” Bucky’s half certain that cupping his ear to protect them from Steve’s growing decibels isn’t going to help the situation, so he keeps them by his side, “what the actual fuck is wrong with you?”

Bucky shrugs, “It’s Sam’s bachelor trip. What he says goes. He wanted the phone out the window so I -” he mimics throwing the phone out, which is obviously the wrong thing to do because Steve lunges for his neck and its only a calculated hand on the car-door and a tumble onto the road that saves him

“I get that your life is very happy go lucky,” Steve mimes quotations, “but some of us work for a living. That was a call to the Japanese Prime Minister chutiya - and you fucking threw my phone out of the window”

Steve points towards the bushes, “go get my phone”

Bucky cocks his head, “come again?”

Steve shakes his outstretched hand, “you threw it in the fucking bushes - now go get my fucking phone?”

“Are you - what - Sam?” Bucky fumbles for words, “go get your phone, are you crazy?”

Steve sits down on the road, legs crossed over one another, “I’m not moving until you get my phone. Go get my phone Barnes”

Bucky looks at Sam meaningfully, “are you going to do anything about this?”

Sam sends a prayer up to whatever deity is overlooking his bachelor trip, pinching the skin between his eyes, “Steve get off the damn road man, Bucky will buy you a new phone. Bucky I uh -” he sighs, “I have no words man. Who throws someone’s phone?”

“Look guys this is my bachelor party, I get that you have this very amazing lifelong rivalry - but you love me right? You care about me right?” he looks at them until they both grumble and nod, “okay good. So can you put aside your differences and just give me a good bachelor party? Please?”

Steve sighs and pushes himself off the ground, wiping the pieces of tarmac off his chinos, “Course we can buddy,” he swings his arm around Sam and pulls him in - locking eyes with Bucky over his head, “but you still owe me a phone”

“So what exactly are we doing here?” Steve asks, desperate for a way to cut through the tension that’s blown up and settled itself in the car like another passenger

Sam reverses and steps out, pointing to the ocean with a flourish, “my dudes - we’re going deep sea diving”

Instantly, Steve’s face curls up like he’s had something sour, “is this trip designed to torture me? First he throws away my phone and now deep sea diving - Wilson you know I don’t do well in water, what if I drown?”

Sam opens his mouth to reply, but the actual response comes from behind them, “well if you drown then I won’t be doing my job very well”

The three whirl around at once, to face a smiling Tony 

“Hi,” Tony says, extending his hand, “I’m Tony Stark - your instructor. I’ve already met Bucky, and you must be Steve,” he smoothly steps between them to address Sam, “which must make you the groom of the hour”

Sam mock salutes, “Sam Wilson at your service. We spoke on the phone?”

Tony nods to a small hut behind him, “wetsuits are in there - everybody go get changed and I’ll meet you out here in five”

Sam and Bucky take off by some mutual unspoken decision to race, but Steve stays rooted in his spot - startling when he feels someone touch his bicep

“Hey,” Tony says softly, “nothing’s going to happen to you okay? I promise.”

“I just met you,” Steve says wryly, but he flashes Tony a grateful smile and goes to get his wetsuit

Bucky and Sam splash into the water with the maturity of five year olds, but they also dutifully look the other way when Tony extends his hand and helps Steve into the shallow water - so he can maybe forgive them

“Okay,” Tony says when they’re all in the water, “for today - I just want everyone to get used to the water. Splash around a bit, get your hair wet - make yourself feel comfortable. I want you to try and work through any nerves that any of you may have, get through any questions that have been weighing down on you - and then we’ll break for food. After, I’m going to teach you how to talk underwater”

Tony winks at Steve, and it momentarily distracts him, just long enough for Tony to bend down and splash water in his face

Bucky takes this as his cue to swipe a leg under Sam’s and make him fall down on his back - and then its every man for himself

Steve has no time to dwell on his fear, because he’s too busy trying to enact revenge - but then Tony looks over at him with a soft smile, and Steve looks track of his mind a little bit

He finds it when Sam roars up from underneath the water and gets his entire left side wet, but he’s too busy laughing to be freaking out about anything

Later, when they break for food and Tony nudges him good-naturedly before grabbing a sandwich and sitting down, he wonders if that was Tony’s plan all along

Fucking adorable. 100% fluff with a wonderfully diverse reader and author!!!!

2. Iced Tea by @kaunis-sielu | Steve Rogers x Fem!Reader I don’t think there’s an official summary for this fic ( @kaunis-sielu pls correct me if I’m wrong) BUT LEMME TELL YALL. I AM A SUCKER FOR BIKER FICS. WE LOVE BIKER STEVE. This was 100% FLUFFY and we LOVE IT. Amazing job!!!!!!

3. let me show you by @moteldwelling | Bucky Barnes x Fem!Reader bucky gives reader a “redo” on her first time, and takes her virginity. Listen here people. This smut took my soul and dragged me to hell and back. I am a SUCKER for Bucky fics but this one like took my life away. If you’re not convinced, ask @wxstedhexrt how much I cried reading it lol. anyways an amazing series that I will continue to go back reading again and again because i LOVE wlw fics <3 

5. Oh no, that’s bad by @andyl394 | Bucky Barnes x Fem!Reader You’re a college student, you’re mad angry, Bucky ruins your paper, that’s not good is it? I read through this 20-part series like there was NO TOMORROW and god DAMN. We love hilarious social media AUs but this one really killed me. I always love Bucky who is soft and shy in fics but the Bucky in this fic was a LITTLE SHIT and i had so much ANGST. Anyways, if you read this fic, you may want to slap the characters BUT I PROMISE THERES AN ADORABLE HAPPY ENDING!!!! 100% INCREDIBLE

6. Home by @evanstush | Steve Rogers x Fem!Reader It’s been 2 years since the last battle and it’s now Morgan’s 7th birthday, and well, Tony being Tony, he prepared a small party for her little girl, inviting everyone from the team, including you. So Kate decided to rip my heart out with this fic and have me on my knees sobbing so that’s cool. That’s it, that’s all I have to say. JK, this fic actually is like half and half FLUFF and ANGST but lord is it worth it. Kate, you know I adore you so much and your fics play a big part in why! God this girl deserves more love on these stories because holy shit I’m DEAD.

7. Baby Self by @honeyloverogers | Steve Rogers x Fem!Reader Alternative to Babies! Assemble, What if it was you that got turned into a baby instead? YALL WANT FUCKING FLUFF!?!?!?! 1000000000% FLUFFFFFFF AND CUTENESSSSSS (with like a little bit of a piece of shit lady who comes around but like its cool because a baby says fuck lol) THIS WAS A FIC WRITTEN LIKE NO OTHER. It's a casual conversation, but she's been dropping hints she expects grandchildren before she turns 60. It's far away, but then again, so are his marriage prospects.

He's barely started earning enough to not blow it all over the weekend. Marriages are still a rare thing for his generation.

Right?

"Your friend from school, Nathan, he also got married." She drops the peas into the huge bowl and dumps the pod on the ever growing pile. He's back for Diwali, before he dives back into the bustle of Bombay. Concern for him is apparent on her face.

"And Stuti, too, I went to her engagement last week. All my cousins are asking when they'll get to attend yours."

"Ma, please."

"Oho, am I dragging you to the altar? Just start meeting people, if nothing. Send them prospectives."

Steve hums nonchalantly and grabs a few peas too. She does have a point.

Maria often imagines what Howard would say about Toni if he were still alive.

She resembled him more than her in that strong jaw and determinate nature of hers. Thankfully the anger she had apparently skipped out on.

Or so she thought until she heard her anguished wail. Maria had thought to merely mention the rishta the Rogers family had sent; not expecting Toni to go off like a bomb.

"WHAT THE FUCK?"

"Language, beta." She looked up from the very traditional letter that was sent. Toni paced about, muttering. Stopping suddenly, she grabbed her blazer from the meeting in the morning and ran upstairs.

Her mother sighed, looking heavenwards and cursing all eleven forefathers of her daughter.

Bucky yawned as he opened the door, eyes half shut from sleep. He had tried to nudge awake Steve, who'd refused to leave the bed, citing a headache from travel.

What he had expected to see was the society guard asking for his bonus, or perhaps the secretary for the maintenance check. Maybe the landlord for a sudden inspection.

What he definitely had not expected to see was a face he had mostly seen in Natasha's magazines or on some celebrity's Instagram. Toni Stark stood at the door, smiling.

"Uhhhh...."

"Hi!" She was practically beaming. "Is Steve home?"

"Yeah."

"Can I-"

"Oh, yes, please. Come on in."

He made it to the bedroom before dissolving into giggles. Shaking Steve awake, he pointed at the living room. He threw back the covers and went, cursing under his breath.

What do you do when the love of your childhood, to whose mother you'd sent a rishta to under the influence of three beers and two idiotic friends, is sitting in your living room? was not a question Steve had ever expected to answer.

Then again, billionaire heiresses didn't also show up at bachelors' houses at 11 in the morning uninvited.

"Hi Steve." She finally turned off that billion-watt smile that filmfare lived for and pursed her mouth, resembling more the 14 year old he had fallen in love with and never managed to get over. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

all wips are part of a series i’m calling: bollywood but make it gay, which is essentially be rewriting bollywood films with marvel films. crucially, none of these ideas are originally mine- im just repurposing them with characters i think fit. im obviously editing the stories slightly but they aren’t originally my ideas
